SSDD 12/19/11
The week before Christmas break. A time many students know as the "WHY THE HELL WON'T THIS WEEK GO FASTER" time. Lack of interest in classes leaves many a kid bored out of their skulls during this week, but I prefer to be more positive, and think it'll all be worth the time spent banging your brain against a desk crying for euthanasia. Day 1 was pretty uneventful, to be honest. In Biology, we reviewed how cells grow and divide. Primo stuff right here. Unsurprisingly, the Great and Powerful Eli got all the questions on the practice test right. I mean, the Humble and Lazy Eli, amirite? English also didn't keep me riveted with defining words and going over All Quiet on the Western Front. Thankfully, my friends in the class are hilarious and stall the teacher whenever necessary. Algebra 2 after that. It feels like that class is 50 hours instead of 50 minutes. I got busy work on Factoring and promptly after wishing for sub-Antarctic temperatures to suddenly strike Cleveland. A guy can dream, eh? 5th period is Sports Management. Best class of the day. Take notes, watch sports, take notes OF sports, and laugh at senioritis afflicted teens. Great stuff. American History after that. I love this class, even with all the note-taking, because of the teacher. He's a riot, making fun of Republicans (especially Kasich), telling tales about how his family was an Italian mob, rose up to overthrow the Jewish Empire, ridiculous shit like that. Best part is, it's my favorite subject! Watched a movie about the 20s and took notes. Finally, (ugh), Spanish 3. I like the people in my clase de Espanol. I like Spain and Argentina and Mexico and Uruguay. I loooooooove futbol (big surprise). But the teacher? My teacher is disliked by me, and by the class. Even worse are her hand-picked subs. When you've got my class wishing for the regular teacher back after a day of lobotomy-inducing, ear-grinding crap, you know things are bad. We reviewed Spanish. Then I left Heights High. So I got work done, and was generally disinterested, productive, talkative, and really hoping for a minor second coming of the Ice Age.
